December 6th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Tillicum's first annual Family Technology Night is an interactive event with many hands-on activities. Several volunteers will be needed to make this event a success. Read full article to access volunteer signup link.  Some activities include:

  • Step Academy will help students explore Lego Mindstorms EV3.
  • Arduino Robots and CTE teachers (Jeff Hunsberger and Marti Nelson) will showcase some of their student work.
  • Rose Racicot, the District Assistive Technology Coordinator, will teach about tech tools that make life easier.
  • Bob Cerelli, Tech Specialist will work with students on programming guitar music. 
  • DigiPen Institute will instruct students on digital animation.
  • Coding for Kids will help students with coding skills. 
  • Jake Duke, STEM Curriculum Developer, will assist students with a variety of programming challenges using Microbits, Spheros, Ozobots, Bee Bots, and Arduino Circuit Playgrounds.
  • The Sammamish Robotics team will bring out one of their competition robots to demonstrate.

Newport High School volunteers will provide set-up, clean-up, programming assistance, and a child care activity.  There will be $1 pizza slices with drinks provided by Tillicum's PTSA.
