Great news! Tillicum Middle School was awarded several grants from Bellevue Schools Foundation including:

• An overnight trip for 8th grade band to BandFest 2018 at the University of Victoria in Canada
• A field trip for 7th and 8th grade choirs to perform and complete in the Best in the Northwest Choir Festival in Portland, Oregon
• Providing jazz clinicians to help any band student receive small group/individual instruction from professional jazz musicians
• Purchasing materials and supplies for the after school Sewing Club
• Adding library books to support dual language and Spanish immersion programs
• Students learning about the commitment to global citizenship and service
• An author visit by Ji-Li Jiang relating to her book A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution – a story that should never be forgotten
