| Newport High PTSA is welcoming all NHS families including incoming freshmen to the annual Back to School Picnic at Lake Sammamish State Park on Sunday, August 28 starting at 1 pm. Meet other Newport families, teachers and staff; make new friends; and feel more connected to the Newport High community! Feel free to bring your favorite dish to share and/or beverages (no alcohol) though usually there's plenty of food. The NHS PTSA will provide plates, napkins, utensils, etc. Also bring your own picnic blankets and/or chairs and - if you want - yard games. Please RSVP by Friday, August 26. If you'd like to become a PTSA member, visit newportptsa.org (you do not have to be a member to join us at the picnic). State parks require a Discover Pass to park (a one-day pass is $10).
